Why does TopMod Capture ask for administrator access?
You'll see a Windows administrator prompt when you install or update TopMod Capture.
TopMod Capture installs a small background service (PresentMon) that measures your game's frame rate and frame times. Windows only lets that kind of performance measurement run as a system service, and installing a service needs administrator approval — that's why Windows asks once each time you install or update.
The service runs only on your PC and only reads timing data. It doesn't change your games or your settings.
